Home care in Winchester
Visiting care and home care in Winchester
Winchester was the first capital city of England and developed from the Roman town of Venta Belgarum, a former Iron Age settlement. Until the Norman conquest, Winchester remained the most important city in England. While no longer the capital, Winchester is still a very important city historically, not least for its stunning grade I listed Norman cathedral, consecrated in 1093.
We at Helping Hands felt we should explore the area more, which is why we wanted to extend our presence and ensure that people are aware of our bespoke and fully flexible visiting and live-in care services.

Meet the Winchester care team
Regional Care Director
Hi, I’m Adam and as Regional Care Director, I’m responsible for making sure that all the customers we help day-in day-out across the South West and South Wales are looked after brilliantly. In order to do this, we need to have the very best carers and support teams there for them so that they can thrive within Helping Hands and do what they do best: care. I think we do everything possible to really understand our customers’ needs and then do everything possible to find the right carer for them. Our carers do a wonderful job, and they are special people who are ‘hardwired’ to care.

Better than a care agency in Winchester
-
We’re better than a care agency because we are a fully regulated private home care company whose carers work tirelessly to support our customers every day of the year. We like to look after our carers while they do the same for our customers, and consequently we employ all of our carers directly, never expecting them to be self-employed and facing the uncertainties that it can bring.
-

At home, you get to dictate what time you eat, go to bed, and every other part of your day, benefitting your emotional, as well as physical health.
