Other care we provide
What’s included with home care in Wigston?
A Helping Hands home carer is there to make your life easier, no matter what your particular situation looks like. We can help with everyday household tasks like tidying up, feeding pets, sorting out grocery shopping or preparing healthy, delicious meals.
We work hard to make sure we understand you and your personal care needs clearly, and we slot in around your preferences, keeping all the daily routines and habits intact.
24/7 Live-in Care
If you have a long-term health condition or both of you need extra help throughout the day and night, live-in care in Wigston can provide you with round-the-clock support that’s completely tailored to your needs. So, if you have cerebral palsy and need assistance with everything from getting up and dressed in the morning to leaving the house and meeting with friends and family, or if you live as an elderly couple and both need support with getting up in the night to go to the loo and again with personal care throughout the day – we’ll create a bespoke care plan around you, your needs and your preferences.
We’ll also work with you to find the very best live-in carer for you. So, not only will they have experience in the specific condition or health needs that you have, but we can match them to you in personality type too.
Better Than a Care Agency in Wigston
With over 30 years of experience under our belt, we know exactly what it takes to deliver premium visiting care to you in your home. Whether you have Parkinson’s and find it difficult to make your own meals or need someone to help you get out and about safely because you’re unsteady on your feet, we will find a care solution that works for you.
Starting from as little as 30 minutes per week, our friendly carers can pop in and support you with a whole host of things – from personal care, getting dressed, and assistance administering medication, to completing light cleaning duties, doing the laundry, and even taking you to appointments. No matter what your health needs are, we will adapt around your existing routines and make sure you have everything you need to live at home independently.
And it’s not just the practicalities that we’ll take care of; supporting you with your mental health is equally as important, and just having a friendly face that comes to see you once a day can make a real difference to your daily schedule.
Wigston Private Care
Our in-house Recruitment Team only select the very best individuals to represent our company and become Helping Hands carers. Whether they have years of care experience with different people and companies or if they have cared for a loved one for several months – the qualities we look for above all others is the ability to be kind, compassionate and to have the desire to care for others. And it’s this that truly sets our carers apart.
To ensure our carers are equipped to support all of our customers, they go through a detailed, award-winning training programme, which covers moving and handling, first aid, medication, dementia and personal care. In addition to this, they also undertake a full background check, including several references and a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening, so that you can be assured that you will receive care from the highest calibre of carers.
Unlike some agencies, we are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This independent regulator ensures that we are safe, effective and responsive to both our customers and staff, and that we ultimately do what we say we are going to do.
