Home care in Waterford
Visiting care and home care in Waterford
Waterford is most famous for its stunning 19th century church, St Michael and All Angels, and its Pre-Raphaelite stained-glass windows by the William Morris company and other notable artists. Waterford also has a famous Irish namesake in the noted crystal manufacturer.

Branch Care Manager
Hi I'm Amal, the Branch Manager at Helping Hands Hertford. I joined Helping Hands in October 16th 2023. My current responsibilities are to oversee and manage both office and care staff to make sure we are always delivering a safe and high standard of care to our customers. I feel honoured to be part of this branch and work alongside passionate & dynamic team of both office and care staff to support people in our local community whatever their needs may be. My inspiration to join social care is wanting to make a difference to people’s lives and to empower them to reach their full potentials. In my spare time, I like to read, cook and spend time with my family. I have worked in the care industry for twenty-five years. My experiences have helped me to understand and ensure that the service provided to our customers is always safe, effective, responsive, well-led and caring.

Visiting home care means you get the support you need in the place you want, your own home. Our carers can provide support with every aspect of your daily life including medication, personal care, meal preparation, mobility and any other task that can make your life easier. Our carers will work from a personalised support plan that will detail exactly how you like things done and will ensure that your routines are always respected.
-
Live-in care to support you
-
If you have a complex health condition or if you would just like to have care and companionship around the clock, you may prefer having a live-in carer. Having one of our professional and empathetic carers living n your home with you can be a valuable alternative to moving into residential care, as you get to remain in the home you love and still have the benefit of full-time care. With live-in care you still get the very highest standards of care possible, but your carer will also be there to chat over a cup of tea or give you the space you need when you want some alone time.

Better than a care agency in Waterford
-
Helping Hands has never been a care agency and the differences are significant. As a fully managed and regulated company we are answerable to the CQC and CIW for everything that we do, meaning we work hard to ensure our standards exceed the guidelines that the industry bodies set. Care agencies on the other hand, have no obligation to be registered and you therefore may not end up getting the service you’ve been promised. Don’t leave your care to chance; talk to us and see why we’re one of the UK’s best home care companies.
-
Dementia care at home

Staying in your own home for care can be preferable under many circumstances but even more so when you’re living with dementia. Remaining in familiar surroundings, amongst people, pets and possessions that mean the world to you can help to reduce anxiety and confusion, meaning that you or your loved one can live their best life at home and still receive the dementia care they need.

As we get older our needs and abilities change. Some people find a renewed interest in exercise and find their strength improves, but for the vast majority of us, the opposite is true and we find tasks around the house become harder to manage. If you’d like some extra support with housework, laundry, personal care, or a myriad other tasks both inside and out of your home, why not give us a call about elderly care today?

Fully-trained carers in Waterford
-
We’ve been supporting people to live their very best lives since 1989 and our carers are at the heart of everything we do. They go above and beyond to support our customers to live as independently as possible in their own homes and are able to do this because of the rigorous training they receive when they join us, as well as development opportunities throughout their employment. They are fully screened by the DBS before they go to meet any of our customers, ensuring that you’re safeguarded in your home too. We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales and we’re accredited by many different organisations throughout the UK, so you can be sure that with us, you’ll be in safe hands.
