Our carers are fantastic at getting to know their customers and the way they like their routine to progress, and these sort of people skills come naturally – it’s not something we can teach. We do encourage all of our carers to follow a programme of development though, once they’ve completed their mandatory training, as we love to promote from within and see people achieve their potential. We’re proud of the fact that so many of our managers began as carers with us, and our in-house training academy ensures everyone gets to learn on the job.
