Why choose care in Poole?

After more than 30 years in the home care industry, Helping Hands knows that no two people have the same care needs. It can be a very personal decision to opt for home care, but our staff are here to guide you to a solution that fits you and your life perfectly. Our carers are available to offer compassionate support and round-the-clock attention to support those with more complex needs, but they can also simply pop in once a week to pick up a prescription, help with shopping and groceries, change the beds or share a nice cup of tea together.

What are our live in care services in Poole?

At Helping Hands, we offer a flexible range of services so that you can receive the support you need, when you need it. Home care Poole is a great alternative to residential care in a nursing or care home, and it allows the elderly or those with dementia and mobility issues the security and independence to get on with the life they want to live. Visits can be as short as 30 minutes, but we also offer overnight care for those who might otherwise find night times unsettling, assuring their families that there will always be someone at hand.

Finally, we offer immediate or emergency care for those situations where the person who normally cares for you is ill, has had an accident or has an urgent matter to attend to. This means you can call our team and ask for care for that same day – we’re always here to help.

Respite care

Carers and loved ones also need to take a break from care every once in a while, and that’s exactly what respite care is for. Our professional staff can step in at short notice if you need to tend to other business, or they can offer a little extra support so you can step back and recharge. Respite care is provided on a more intermittent basis that suits your schedule. What’s important is that those who need care receive it when they need it. Helping Hands carers ensure continuity of care at home while you step away, whether that’s only occasionally or on a more regular basis.

Elderly care

Our dedicated and fully trained carers are there to help you maintain your independence and comfort at home, where you’re happiest. Our Poole team can arrange visits on a short, medium or long-term basis, and will work hard to provide full-time elderly care that works for you, whether it’s doing a little housework or helping you get around the house a little easier.

The care we offer at Helping Hands is not just about practical support, although we stand by our carers as some of the best in the country in this regard. Rather, we believe that the elderly also deserve compassionate reassurance, friendly conversation, and a carer that really understands them.

Domiciliary care

Domiciliary care is care offered in the comfort and security of your home. In contrast to moving to a residential care home, domiciliary care is all about one-to-one attention, personalised visits and a carer that is best suited to your familiar routines, temperament and daily needs. It’s about ensuring you feel in control of your daily activities, as well as being able to reach out for emotional support and reassurance.

Why Helping Hands are top care providers

Every one of our Helping Hands carers has been carefully trained to a high standard, and each has a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate and thorough background checks. We like to think that it’s our excellent staff that have earned us the industry-endorsed designation as a Centre of Excellence for our training programme – the only health care provider in the UK with this accolade.

All personal care services are provided by our Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered office Helping Hands Dorset, ensuring we consistently meet the highest standards for safe, effective and compassionate care.

Although the Helping Hands Poole team take pride in their professional code of conduct and accreditations, they also understand that the heart of care is what matters most. We don’t just say we care, we do care, and we only work with those who are just as passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives every day.
