Home care in Penzance
Visiting care and home care in Penzance
The Cornish seaside town of Penzance found itself thrust into the limelight in 1879 when Gilbert and Sullivan used it as the home for the titular characters in their world-famous opera, The Pirates of Penzance. Penzance had a reputation as being a peaceful seaside resort town, so the amusing irony of pirates coming from the area was not lost on the locals.
At Helping Hands, we’re doing our utmost to ensure our customers are able to enjoy life the way they want it – whether they’re used to being as swashbuckling as possible or prefer to enjoy the peacefulness of Penzance and the surrounding area. Whatever your needs and wishes, our care team in Penzance will be able to work with you to develop a package of care that is perfectly matched to your individual circumstances.

Meet the Penzance care team

Branch Care Manager
I joined Helping Hands at the beginning of 2023 as the Branch Care Manager for Cornwall. I am responsible for ensuring that our branch delivers safe care, purposeful care, individual care and care with compassion and consideration to our lovely customers and their families and loved ones, including their furry friends. My inspiration for working within the care sector isn't a what but a "who" and that who would be my dear mum. It's impossible to talk about my mum without mentioning just how caring and compassionate a person she is and always has been, I cannot recall a day where mum didn't put everyone else first. In branch we have a wonderful team who, at their heart, each share the core values of care and compassion. I'm often humbled by the kindness of my care team and the thoughtful things that they do to make our customers day that little bit better. I am a proud mum to two fantastic young women, they are strong, hardworking, independent and thoughtful people with an excellent sense of humour. In my spare time you will likely find me outdoors, having a mooch about the countryside, hiking in the rain or relaxing on the beach. If I am indoors then there will be music and I will be dancing and singing, there's always time for dancing but I do apologise about the singing.
