Home care Newark
-
Since 1989, Helping Hands has been providing thousands of families across the UK with consistent and effective support to enable them to stay within the comfort of their own home, and this is exactly what Chenel and her team offer across Newark.
Little or often, they can provide support with personal care, mobility, medication, household duties and much more, so that you can rest assured that all of your needs are taken care of. Visiting care starts from 30-minute calls and can go all the way up to several hourly calls throughout the day, depending on your requirements.
If your care needs change or your symptoms progress, we can quickly and efficiently alter your care arrangements to cater to you. So, if you used to struggle a little with getting around the house but now need a standing or walking aid, we’ll work with your GP and Occupational Therapist (if necessary) to make sure everything is swiftly put in place to keep you safe and content.

One-to-one support with live-in care in Newark
-
If you need more intensive support or you already have a visiting carer but need extra assistance round the clock, live-in care in Newark could be an ideal solution for you. As the name suggests, a live-in carer will come to live with you in your home and will seamlessly fit into your life and schedule, ensuring they provide the highest level of care whenever you need it.
And because you’ll be relying on your carer day and night, we’ll work with you to find the right person for you. If you love doing jigsaw puzzles or have a passion for all things aviation, we’ll find a carer that will help you find the right puzzle pieces or even take you to Newark Air museum. After all, care isn’t just about the practicalities; it’s about your emotional wellbeing too.

Support chosen by you with domiciliary care
-
Known traditionally as visiting care, domiciliary care is an ideal way for you to get the best support but without having to give up your independence or your home. With flexible options that fit around your life, Chenel and her team will meet with you and understand how you need extra support, from which they’ll put a bespoke package of care together just for you.
Whether you need support with your shopping, meeting with friends or just a friendly face to have a cup of tea with, we’ll be on hand to help.

Dementia care from our experts
-
As a leading dementia care provider, we understand the complexities and worries that a dementia diagnosis can bring – whether it’s frontotemporal dementia, Pick’s disease or vascular dementia. It can be quite an unsettling time, but with a carer from the Newark team on hand, we can help to relieve some of your anxieties and support you and your family with understanding and living with your condition.
Familiarity and consistency is key when caring for someone with dementia, and we’ll ensure that you have the same carers that you know and trust – whether that’s via a visiting care or live-in care arrangement.

Elderly care to keep you feeling young
-
As we inevitably age, our mobility, health or ability to keep on top of the housework may dip a little, but with the assistance of a Helping Hands care from the Newark team, you can get on top of them again.
Elderly care is designed to enable you to do what you’d like to do instead of a carer taking over and doing everything for you. So, if you’re very house proud and like your bed made in a particular way but struggle to change the sheets alone, we’ll do this with you so that you still have some ownership over having things the way you want them.

Short-term solutions with respite care
-
Does your carer need to take a break from looking after you? Have you just been discharged from hospital but need extra support to get back on your feet? Or do you want to go on holiday but are unable to alone? That’s where the Newark team can help. With their compassionate and professional support, you’ll be able to get the right respite care you need so that you can all rest assured that you have someone there to take care of you, regardless of your circumstances.
Care needs can also crop up with no prior warning, but we can arrange for a carer to be with you in as little as 24 hours’ notice. So, if your regular caregiver has to attend an emergency, we’ll be there as soon as we can and put your mind at ease.

Friendly, dedicated carers in Newark
-
We are extremely proud of our training programme, which has been awarded as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care – the first and only home care provider to achieve this impressive accolade. Every single one of our carers go through this training programme and cover modules such as dementia care, moving and handling, first aid, safeguarding and medication.
Being able to recruit, select and train all of our carers via our specialist in-house teams means that we can closely monitor the quality of our carers and the support they provide to our customers. They are also required to have several references and go through a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening, so that we can guarantee only the very best carers are selected to become one of the Helping Hands’ family members.
We are also closely monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who regulate all professional care companies for their effectiveness, responsiveness and safety. They also regularly inspect our services, processes and standards to ensure that we’re doing exactly what we say that we’re going to do, without compromising on the quality of care that we deliver.
