When it comes to choosing care for yourself or a loved one, there are lots of things to consider. How will your care be delivered? How much control will you have over your support plan? Personal care from our Lichfield home care team will reassure you on all of those fronts, providing person-centred care that is created in collaboration with you and is delivered to you whilst you remain in the comfort of your own home.
And because our care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we can guarantee industry-standard care that is closely monitored for its effectiveness, responsiveness and safety.
The main features of our personal care service consist of support for you that enables you to live as independently as you wish. From helping you with the housework, getting to and from appointments and going shopping, to assistance with getting dressed, going to the toilet and washing, we’re here to provide practical and emotional support when you need it. This may start from as little as 30-minute visits throughout the week and gradually progress to hourly visits throughout the day if your symptoms or needs mean that you require additional support. We can also provide 24-hour live-in care for those who require round-the-clock support with a chronic health condition or for a couple who both need extra care.
We tailor support plans to the customer’s needs, so whatever situation you’re currently in or planning for, we’d be happy to discuss with you and find the right solution that will work for you.
All of our carers in Lichfield are required to have an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and several character references before they join us, so that we only select the very best candidates to join our team. Once recruited, they undergo an in-house training programme that focuses on the theoretical and practical knowledge they will need when out in the field. Modules includes dementia, personal care, manual handling, medication, first aid and safeguarding. And it’s not just our new recruits who receive training; we put our existing carers through regular refresher sessions so that their knowledge is always up to date and following the latest industry guidelines.
