What's included with live in care in Leeds?

Home care is all about the necessities when it comes to being safe and well at home – from support with getting out of bed, washed and dressed in the morning, continence care, and help to mobilise safely around the home, to assistance with the housework, shopping and watering your plants.

Home care can be whatever you’d like it to be, and we always place the individual at the centre of their support plan when arranging care and carrying it out, whether you need help once a week with changing the beds or if you have support five times a day with medication and personal care.

Why you may need care

We recognise that everyone is different and has different preferences when it comes to their home care and how they like things done. Even if our customers in Leeds have the same health condition with similar symptoms, no two customers have their care delivered in the same way. Someone in the early stages of vascular dementia may struggle with remembering names of people and objects and require a certain type of dementia care, whereas another person with the condition may have more difficulties with managing their anxiety and become easily confused. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and the Leeds team make it their mission to create in-depth support plans that are meaningful to that individual and their needs.

Limited hour home care visits

You may have elderly relatives who live elsewhere in Yorkshire or perhaps you’re located in a completely different county and you’re worried that your elderly parents are unable to cope at home by themselves. That’s where the Leeds team can step in and provide visiting care from as little as 30 minutes per week for your loved ones, ensuring that you all have extra peace of mind that they are receiving support with anything from the housework and preparing meals, to assistance getting to doctors appointments and collecting groceries.

Intermittent long term visits from our Carers

Caring for a loved one can be one of the most rewarding jobs in the world (believe us, we know) and can provide both of you with a sense of purpose and reassurance. However, it’s equally important that you take a break from time to time to ensure that you’re getting some vital rest and recuperation. Whilst you’re away, we can provide respite care to maintain your routines and transition seamlessly to care from the Leeds team. From three days up to several weeks if needs be, we’ll be there round-the-clock or for hourly visits, replicating your existing care timetable to minimise disruption and allow everyone to rest easy while you take a well-earned break.

Carers available immediately

Care sometimes cannot be planned in advance; perhaps you’ve just been discharged from hospital and need support to convalesce at home or your regular caregiver may have been taken ill themselves. Whatever your need, emergency care can be put in place usually within the same day as your enquiry to us. That way, you won’t have to worry about being without care or support and you can relax in the comforting, familiar environment of your own home.

Expert carers in Leeds

Bethany and her team of dedicated carers really do go above and beyond to ensure that they provide the very best care to those across Leeds and the surrounding areas. To do this, the team recruit for carers locally and ensure they are put through the company’s thorough recruitment and selection process, including an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening and several character references.

Mandatory, award winning training modules consist of manual handling, first aid, safeguarding, equality & diversity, personal care and dementia, amongst may more. Additionally, all of our carers receive regular refresher training and have the opportunity to undertake advanced courses to further their knowledge and become a specialist in a particular area.

How to arrange live in care today

There’s lots of things to consider when thinking about home care, but our knowledgeable Customer Care Specialist team will be able to put your mind at ease and help you to find the right care option for you. They’re available to speak to via telephone seven days a week.

You could also visit the branch itself on Street Lane; the team will be happy to discuss your care requirements over a cup of tea or even arrange for a visit to you at home.
