Helping Hands has been delivering expert elderly home care for more than 30 years now. We’ve learnt what our elderly customers most need from care, and have fine-tuned our approach to offer the best in support, whether it’s for a day or week or on a continuous basis. Elderly care is there to support you with those day-to-day activities that may have become more difficult given chronic health conditions or limited mobility.
The exact care you receive depends very much on your needs and your lifestyle. Our carers are fully trained, compassionate individuals who genuinely love the work they do. They can help with all those tasks in the home that are challenging, such as grocery shopping, cooking, catching up with housework of all kinds, making sure medications are taken correctly and on time, watering the plants or feeding the cat, helping with showering and dressing, or simply making sure that the day’s errands are done.
Helping Hands never works with agency staff, but directly employs only those specially chosen carers we trust to deliver care according to our high standards. Our Cobham care team is made of people from all walks of life, but one thing they have in common is the desire to make a real difference, in whatever way they can. When you first contact us, we’ll work hard to understand not only your unique needs and limitations, but also your personality and preferences, so we can match you with just the right carer.
We believe that care is all about that human touch, and our staff will always take the time to get to understand you as a person, and work with you to make sure you’re living life the way you want to live it. You can also be confident that we are always ready to adapt and adjust the care you receive, so you are always in control.
While some seniors do opt to move to a residential care home, this may not always be appropriate for everyone, especially for those elders who value their independence and love the homes they’re living in. The advantage of elderly care delivered at home is that you can tailor your support to fit around your pre-existing habits ad routines, without any loss of freedom.
A home carer is there to help you and you alone, and they will always be flexible and willing to adapt to changing circumstances. You can have the peace of mind that there is always a skilled and experienced professional at hand should you need them, or should anything happen. We even offer overnight care or nurse-led support for extra peace of mind.
At helping Hands, our philosophy is never to provide one-size-fits-all care, but to offer you the support that you uniquely need, exactly when you need it. We provide mainly live-in support should you need more comprehensive care, or visiting care, where you can plan regular care calls throughout the week on a schedule that best suits you. We also offer respite care for those seniors who already have a carer in place, but may occasionally need back-up care when that carer takes a break.
We can supply consistent care at intervals that work for you, but that doesn’t we can’t be here for you during emergencies or unplanned situations. We can provide quick-start or emergency care for unforeseen circumstances, so you always know we have your back no matter what. Whether you’ve experienced a sudden change in plan, your normal carer has fallen ill, or you yourself are unable to manage the day’s activities because of a health issue, we’re there for you. We can also arrange care for the days and weeks after a hospital stay or accident to give you some extra support as you recover, or else be there over busy holiday periods where you need help in a pinch. The advantage of working with Helping Hands is that you need never feel that you are alone, and that there is always a kind, dedicated professional ready to help.
