Home care in Camberley
For over 30 years, Helping Hands have been supporting thousands of people to lead an independent life whilst remaining in their own homes, and that’s exactly what the team are able to do for anyone who needs extra help in and around Camberley.
Upholding the core values of the company is something that the team take very seriously. They will work with you to find out what your needs are and how they can accommodate them in the most suitable way for you. So, if you need support with getting dressed and styling your hair or if you just need an extra pair of hands around the house once a week, they’ll be able to find a care package completely suited to you.
Just because we put something in place to help you, it doesn’t mean that we can’t adapt it. If you’re living with a progressive condition such as Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, we can always amend your care package so that any additional needs are catered for.
Live in care for around the clock support
For more complex health care needs or conditions, live-in care in Camberley could be a more suitable option for you to ensure that you and your family always have the peace of mind that all of your needs are taken care of round the clock.
As the name suggests, a live-in carer will come and live with you in your home to get to know you and be on hand whenever you need them. Whether it’s assistance with administering medication at regular intervals throughout the day and night, or if you need specific stoma care in addition to mobility support – we’ll find the right carer for you who will be fully supported by our team of clinical nurses.
Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Camberley
The carers in Camberley really do go above and beyond for all of their customers, regardless of their diagnosis or care needs. The practicalities of caring for someone can be learned, but being a truly empathetic, kind and compassionate person cannot, and that is exactly what we look for when we recruit our carers to join the Helping Hands family.
Trained by our experienced team in the Camberley branch or at our bespoke centre in Warwickshire (live-in carers only), each and every one of our team go through modules to equip them in the field, such as first aid, personal care, dementia and manual handling.
As well as being awarded as a Centre of Excellence for our training programme, we are also closely monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who ensure all of our services are safe, responsive and effective in the delivery of care.
Dementia care for extra peace of mind
Dementia can often be a word and condition that many are afraid of, but with our team of dementia specialists we’ll ensure that they work with you and your loved ones so that any of your questions or anxieties are alleviated, whilst putting a comprehensive package of care in place to make sure you’re safe and comfortable at home.
From Pick’s disease to frontotemporal dementia, Alzheimer’s to vascular dementia, we’ve spent years ensuring that all of our carers are able to provide the very best in dementia care, regardless of the type of dementia you have.
We have introduced a Dementia Champion accreditation awarded to carers and managers who have studied, trained for and worked with those living with dementia in detail. This ensures that we are always improving on and sharing best practice when it comes to dementia, which in turn assures that you or your loved one will receive the best in dementia care.
