What is a Home Care Package?

If you’re at a stage of life where you’d benefit from an additional level of care, you may wish to consider a personalised home care package from our friendly Helping Hands team in Birmingham. A home care package is a service that is completely designed around your personal needs and wishes. At Helping Hands, we’re committed to providing first-rate home care in Birmingham and the surrounding area, with every aspect of our support independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

What does a Birmingham Home Care Package include?

When you opt for home care from Helping Hands, we’ll make sure we take the time to understand your particular needs and preferences and will tailor your care plan accordingly. We know that your support needs will be unique to you, and that you’ll like things to be done in a certain way in your home. Perhaps you’re living with a medical condition that requires specialist support, or you’d simply like us to continue doing the housework the way your normal carer does it. Our wonderful carers are all fully vetted and expertly trained to provide specialist support for people with a wide range of needs, giving you full peace of mind that you’re in the very safest of hands. Our care packages include visiting care and live-in care in Birmingham, and we can facilitate any requests you may have into your home care package, ensuring you have full control over your care plan every step of the way.

Types of Home Care Packages in Birmingham

We provide three main branches of care – live-in care, visiting care and respite care. These are then adapted accordingly to each individual depending on their particular needs. Live-in care provides you with the opportunity to have one of our wonderful carers come to live with you in your home and offer round-the-clock support and companionship. Visiting care involves having your carers come to visit you in your home at times designated by you – this might be a couple of times a week, or several times a day. Respite care is short-term care, typically received when a regular caregiver is unavailable for a short period and cover is required.

Which Home Care Package do I need?

We’ve been providing home care for long enough to know that making decisions about care can be daunting. There are so many options available to you, and often even just the process of arranging care can seem so time-consuming and disheartening. That’s why, from your very first call to our friendly team in Birmingham, we’ll put you completely at ease. We’ll outline the different types of care that we offer – visiting care, respite care and live-in care – and your local care manager will pop round for a chat about the arrangement that will best suit you. Once that’s been agreed, you can leave the rest to us. Of course, if your needs change with time, we’ll be alongside you to recommend appropriate adjustments to your support to ensure you’re always getting the right type of care for your needs.
