Cost of Respite Care
A fully managed respite care service
Respite care at home is the perfect solution for when you are suddenly left without care.
Perhaps your regular carer has been taken ill and had to go home unexpectedly, or it may be that you are being discharged from hospital sooner than expected; circumstances that can throw even the most organised family members into a state of anxiety.
Calling Helping Hands for respite care can be the perfect solution though, as we can arrange for a carer to be in your home within 24 hours of you first contacting us. We have been caring for people within their own homes since 1989 and therefore it’s no surprise that we are considered the homecare experts.

Paying for respite care
When it comes to costs, we keep things as simple and straightforward as we can.
Although the majority of our families are paying for their care privately, there may be the opportunity for you to access home care funding. Home care funding can be accessed from either your Local Authority or Clinical Commissioning Group.
In these cases, we work with the funding body to get the support you need in place and give you a better quality of life at home.
Our customers love that we are:
Upfront and transparent
All of your home care costs are included in your initial care agreement – there are no hidden fees or lengthy notice periods
Not a care agency
We’re a private care provider rather than an agency, which means you don’t have to worry about agency fees or retainers
Able to accept direct payments
If you’re receiving funding through social services and have opted for direct payments, we can accept top-ups to these payments
Fully regulated by the CQC / CIW
Here at Helping Hands, our respite care service is fully managed and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
From your very first phone call to our friendly team, every aspect of your home care service is independently monitored and regulated by the CQC and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
What does regulation mean?
