We’re here to help with care during the coronavirus pandemic
For over 30 years, we’ve been supporting people across England and Wales who need assistance at home to enable them to be as independent as possible. As we enter another national lockdown, we are still very much providing quality care to our customers, and we are also able to support new customers if you or a loved one needs help at home.
Contact our friendly customer team today to discuss your care needs and the different options available to you.
If you then decide to choose us as your care provider following your initial telephone conversation, a local care manager in your area will be in touch to discuss your care in more detail. Due to the current social distancing measures in place, we are happy to arrange this more in-depth meeting over the phone or via video call.

Our main goal throughout the coronavirus pandemic is to ensure that all of our customers and staff remain as safe as possible. These are unprecedented times and we’re doing our utmost to ensure that the guidance and procedures that we put in place follow the latest advice from the Government, Public Health England and the United Kingdom Health Care Association (UKHCA). This includes the adequate provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) – aprons, gloves, face masks and face shields, which we have been supplying to our teams up and down the country.
With the unsettling times that we find ourselves in, we appreciate that many of you have questions about yours or a loved one’s care, or even what we are asking our private carers to do. We want to be completely transparent with you so that you can feel reassured and safe in the knowledge that you’re being looked after properly. With that in mind, we have created a webpage dedicated to frequently asked questions, which you can find here. You can also view our COVID-19 Staff Guidance and Ways of Working Policy.
We are actively running the NHS Test and Trace system within all of our branches and offices to keep our customers and carers safe. Find out more below.
View our coronavirus guidance View our self-isolation guidelinesWe have been using Helping Hands for 18 months to help with care of my 94 year old father who has dementia. Without exception, the staff are all caring and considerate. The office support is also excellent, ensuring that we are kept informed about any potential changes. With the current Coronavirus situation, we have been updated regularly and also reassured. We would have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands to potential customers. Read the full review here.
