Branch Care Manager
At Helping Hands Newcastle I am responsible for overseeing all day to day activities including; managaing the office team and care staff, ensuring our lovely customers receive the highest standard of care and looking after the business side of things! It is difficult to explain 'what inspired me to join care' as it is has been a part of who am since I could stand on my own two feet! I was a young carer growing up, supporting my father with complex physical care needs. I volunteered as a young person for multiple caring organisations like Age UK & Teesside Hospice whilst I completed my education, before starting my professional career in domiciliary care. I believe in what we do at Helping Hands, as I see first hand every day the difference you can make in someone's life by supporting them to stay safely in their own home. After all, there is no place like it! In my spare time you will often catch me in a local coffee shop for breakfast, spending time in the parks or at the beach or relaxing at home with my cat - Mr Steven.

Elderly care for you and your loved ones
-
As we grow through the various stages of life, our bodies can become weaker and our minds aren’t always as quick as they once were – but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to sacrifice our independence in order to accommodate that.
With elderly care from our expert team, we’ll ensure that you have the support you need to feel safe at home without having to make any compromises to your usual routine.

Respite care for short-term breaks
-
Constantly supporting a loved one can be a lot to take on and incredibly overwhelming. If you’re juggling a full-time job, parenting or other commitments, having some short-term support may be the ideal solution for you.
Whether it’s delivered over a period of weeks or days, respite care allows you to take some time and recharge your batteries but still be assured that your loved one is receiving sensitive and compassionate care that meets their every need.
If you’re considering enlisting more support but you’re not sure whether it is the ideal solution for you, respite care can be a great way to see how care in your home can work in the long run.

Our fully-trained carers based in Whitley Bay
-
Delivering outstanding care is at the forefront of everything we do. To make sure they’re fully equipped, each carer completes a thorough training programme covering a host of areas including personal care, safety in the home and medication administration.
Alongside our award-winning training programme, our carers go through a full background and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks, and because our carers are recruited and employed by us, we will also take care of all paperwork involved.
Like all of our branches, our Whitley Bay office is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), meaning we’re fully committed to always providing a safe and secure service, and we are the only home care provider to be endorsed as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care.
