Our very first customers were cared for in Warwickshire, not far from Halesowen, in 1989 where Helping Hands was founded by Mary Lee. The same family values that underpinned our service over 30 years ago still feature heavily in our home care offer and are values that the team still uphold today.

Supported by our experienced team of clinical nurses, we can also care for individuals with more complex health difficulties such as tracheostomies, PEG feeding, nasogastric feeding tube, catheters, stomas or ventilators. As well as looking for these qualities, we also carry out strict background checks including character references and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screenings.

Once our carers have been selected, they all receive award-winning training either in the Halesowen branch or at our bespoke centre in Warwickshire (live-in carers only). They undertake modules that cover manual handling, personal care, medication, dementia, first aid and safeguarding, which is delivered by our expert in-house teachers.

What’s more, all of our services are closely monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who ensure that we provide effective, responsive and safe provisions of care to our customers and that we’re delivering exactly what we say we will.
