Branch Care Manager
My role at Helping Hands as a Branch Manager is to make sure my customers are receiving safe care and that the visiting carer has the right knowledge of the customers' needs. I also make sure the carers are promoting independence during the time in our customers' homes. It's also my responsibility to make sure my care staff have a safe working environment and to follow regular check-ups of my customers and carers to ensure their wellbeing. I joined the care industry because I have always liked helping people and making a difference. I think the service we provide is amazing, I love the fact that my team and myself work together to ensure people can stay in their homes for as long as possible. I think it gives family members peace of mind as well, knowing that we have very well-trained and trusted carers and staff to look after their relatives. Whether it be to give them a break or because they live too far away, we are always sure to keep them informed. I'm a single mum to a beautiful little girl and I like to spend time with her; we are always going out and some of our favourite things are the zoo and the beach. I used to do dance, cheerleading and gymnastics and it's still something that I'm passionate about. I eventually taught dance and I've performed many times over my career as a dancer in a wide variety of places, such as the Lord Mayor's show, Disneyland, X-factor and as an extra in a few productions. I spend most of my time away from work with my daughter and family, but I do occasionally go out with my friends. I am a hard-worker and I always put others before myself and I think people see that.

Your live-in carer will be matched to you based on your personality, as well as your condition so that you can continue to live independently with the support of somebody you trust, whenever you need it.
As opposed to an assisted living facility, live-in care allows you to maintain your own routine in the most comfortable environment. This service offers a much more cost-effective and less restrictive solution to receiving additional support on a full-time basis.

What makes us different from a care agency in Loughton?
-
Unlike a lot of care agencies, our service is monitored and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which isn’t always the case for care agency services. Additionally, all of our staff are directly employed by Helping Hands and their respective branches, with every carer being fully trained internally before they can undertake the care of your loved one.
As the nation’s leading home care provider, we do our utmost to ensure our team is ahead of the rest, and we believe that keeping our carers motivated and feeling valued is where that starts. With ongoing professional development and a commitment to employee wellbeing, we ensure our carers are determined to be the best they can be each day so that your loved one can receive the service they deserve.

We understand this feeling wholeheartedly as we’ve cared for so many people living with dementia over the past 30 years. From receiving the diagnosis to the latter stages of the condition, dementia can be anxiety-inducing throughout, which is why our dementia carers make reducing confusion and delivering compassion a priority during their support, and keeping you at home in the place you feel most familiar and comfortable is paramount to aid this process.
