Helping Hands Home Care have been shortlisted as finalists for the Home Care Awards 2021. We have been nominated for two categories: “Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic” and “Best Independent Home Care Provider”.
The Home Care Awards state that:
“2021 will be the year when care at home providers must stand out and be noticed, remarked upon and applauded for their innovation, their response to Covid-19, the excellence of their provision and business performance. The Home Care Awards’ judges will be looking for just that – stand out.”
Last year we launched our Moments of Kindness recognition scheme to celebrate the various acts of kindness that happen across Helping Hands every day. Whilst the whole country came together to clap for frontline workers, we also wanted to find a way to celebrate the heroes within Helping Hands. The scheme runs across the company and allows colleagues, customers, families and other healthcare professionals to acknowledge someone from Helping Hands for their fantastic contribution to their role. One of our founding values, kindness, is a huge part of everything we do and the scheme ensures that each person feels valued for their very important input to the company.
Warwickshire carer, Simon, was nominated as a finalist at the Care Heroes Awards last year. When he was purchasing a new personal car, Simon decided upon a wheelchair accessible vehicle to ensure he could accommodate one of his customers who was isolated in the countryside. Simon said: “I do this job is because I love it so much”. Simon is an amazing example of how our teams go above and beyond, because they love what they do.
We are so proud to have achieved this accolade. 2020 has been a year none of us will forget, but this achievement is rooted in the hard work of our care teams who are committed to keeping our customers safe at home. We’re very proud of our Helping Hands team for their contribution to this nomination.
