Recruitment and Training

Training Information

We want you to be well-prepared for your time with us, below is a short film that outlines what you can expect from your induction week training.

The induction training programme runs for one week. You arrive on Monday morning, ready to start training at 12pm in the afternoon. We work through the day with short morning and afternoon breaks, as well as a stop for lunch. On Friday morning you will meet with our Live-in Care Managers before leaving around lunchtime (with the exception of Bank Holidays when you will complete training at 5.00pm on the Friday).

The topics we will cover include The Principles of Care, The Role of the Care Worker, Communication, Health Safety and Security, Administration of Medication, Moving & Handling, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Basic First Aid, Infection Control and Incontinence. As you can see, it is an intensive few days with a lot to take in, but this is an excellent induction covering all the major topics you need to start as a Carer.
