Helping Hands Cares

Our Promise

Every business likes to have a mission statement, but ours is different. It’s not a statement; it’s a fact, a promise. It’s the way we do business and why we’re still growing as we head into our third decade.

We strive to provide reliable, innovative, quality home care services that exceed customer’s expectations and enable customers to exercise choice in their daily lives.

To promote dignity and quality of life to our customers by providing highly skilled and trained care staff who have been carefully selected and who share our common ethos / purpose of promoting customer dignity and independence, whilst being cared for in their own home.

Our Carers are our staff

We directly employ are staff. Why is this important to you? Well many care agencies, our competitors, work as introductory agencies. That means you, the family, become the employer and have to deal with all the PAYE responsibilities, insurance etc. What’s more, if the Carer is sick, leaves or just doesn’t show up one day, you are left stranded without care or cover.

At Helping Hands, our Carers are our responsibility. We guarantee cover for our clients so you will never be left stranded. We handle all the taxes, assessment, supervision, and if you have any problems or concerns you have access to your own Live-in Care Manager and a 24 hour emergency care number.

Continuity Matters

Our experience has taught us that continuity of care is really important, especially for clients suffering with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, where learning a new face or a new routine can be very distressing. Continuity of care helps with familiarity, developing comfortable routines and builds a trusting relationship with the Carer.

We aim to have our Carers stay in the home for c.6 – 8 weeks; they then take a short 1 -2 week break before returning. This isn’t common practice in the care industry. Our competitors, those who do directly employ their care givers, generally rotate them on a 2 week on, 2 week off basis.
