Respite Care

Respite Care from Helping Hands is a short-term care service designed to help you or your regular personal care assistant take a break, or to provide cover in case of illness or emergency. Available for a minimum of two weeks, an experienced and fully trained Live-in Care professional will move into the home and continue the routines and lifestyle of the person being cared for, reducing disruption and anxiety.

We understand that Respite Care is often an emergency situation, and as a small, flexible company we can arrange Respite Care service quickly and efficiently. Working to an individually designed care plan, many people find this one-to-one personal home care service ideal for holiday, illness or emergency cover. Learn more about Respite Care and how your family may benefit from a break.

Just as we do for our long term Live-in Care clients, we can provide Respite Care for individuals with over 45 different conditions, ranging from Dementia and Alzheimer’s, to Multiple Sclerosis, to Strokes. Learn more about the conditions for which we can offer Respite Care; if the condition you’re family is facing is not on the list, please contact us to see if we can lend support.

When offering Live-in and Respite Care for the elderly, our Carers have to be trained and equipped to deal with a number of different conditions. Discover more about our Live-in Care team and the training they undertake.
