Hello I am Jane Fletcher, the newest Helping Hands recruit. I will be covering the North West and Wales, I know the area well as I went to university in Leeds and still have many friends there who I frequently visit. |
Qualifications
Before I joined Helping Hands, I was a Senior Administrator within Corporate Financial Services. I am incredibly organised and have great people skills, which I am sure will help me when supporting the clients and carers.
Since joining Helping Hands, I have started to work towards my Level One Assessor Training and I am also completing training in the following areas:
- Moving and Handling
- Infection control
- Incontinence care
- Administration of medication
- Dementia
- Stroke
- Parkinson’s
Young Adult and Respite Care
I am particularly looking forward to working with younger clients who face a different set of challenges compared to our older clients. Our carers work incredibly hard to ensure that lead all of our young adults lead as much of an independent life as possible.
Older Clients
It’s amazing the difference that live-in can make to dementia service users, one of the family’s I look after were considering a care homes for their mum who is in her late 70’s. After a trial with a live-in carer they all agreed that a care home would have taken them down a slippery slope and their mum wouldn’t have been happy. Live-in care has made an incredible difference to her life and her family’s.
Job Satisfaction
I am really excited to be working in the care industry, knowing that I am making a difference to someone’s life gives great job satisfaction and motivation.
Carers
Our carers are passionate, professional and enthusiastic, this combined with good solid training, ensures they are able to deliver great care.
About Me
I live in Worcester with my fiancé and my son. I consider myself to be out going, highly motivated and fun. I love going to the gym, socialising with friends and family and experimenting with cooking.
