Young Adult and Respite Care
I have the privilege to work with several young clients at Helping Hands. One of whom currently lives in university halls of residence whilst studying towards her degree. Her carer lives alongside her and the other students. Having this level of support has allowed my client to attend university, live in a new city and help her achieve her goal of obtaining a degree. She also leads an active social life and she and her carer socialise with a big group of friends.
Older Clients
I feel very passionately about live-in home care. We spend years making a house a home, decorating, entertaining and living with our loved ones in them. Helping Hands provides every opportunity to allow our clients to live in their own homes for as long as possible. I have clients who suffer from Dementia and Alzheimer’s and it never ceases to amaze me what a difference a familiar, friendly environment can make to their comfort and wellbeing.
After living full and varied lives, it is so important that clients with the support of our carers retain their independent lifestyles without the restrictions implied by care homes.
Job Satisfaction
My career path since leaving university, has lead me towards a Care Manager role. I feel passionate about healthy lifestyles and wellbeing. My Role at Helping Hands combines my organisational and administrative skills, with a passion for the delivery of high standards of care to promote personal wellbeing and comfort.
Our Carers
Helping Hands carers are invaluable and they do a fantastic job. It really takes a special person to be a live-in carer and I really appreciate the work and the effort they go to for our service users. The bonds that they forge with their clients can be truly outstanding.
About Me
I would describe myself as friendly and fun. I really enjoy entertaining-especially having friends and family over for dinner parties, arranging get-togethers and organising parties.
I really love my films. I am a big movie fan and I enjoy movie nights in or trips out to the cinema.
